Eugloh

The interuniversity Alliance EUGLOH – European University for Global Health, a pilot initiative funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ Program, is formed by 9 European Universities: University of Porto (Portugal), Lund University (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), University of Szeged (Hungary), University of Alcalá (Spain), UiT The Arctic University of Norway (Norway), Université Paris-Saclay (France), University of Novi Sad (Serbia) and Universität Hamburg (Germany).

This Alliance aims to stimulate cooperation in a variety of areas linked to Global Health (digital health, public health and well-being, environmental protection and food safety).

Established in 1911, the University of Porto is one of Portugal's largest higher education and research institutions. With nearly 32,000 students, a diverse faculty of 2,698 academics, and a significant administrative staff, U.Porto consistently ranks among the top higher education institutions nationally and internationally. It comprises 14 faculties, a respected business school, and 47 research centers spread across three campuses, offering students an enriching academic and sociocultural experience. U.Porto is a driving force for economic, social, cultural, and scientific development in the region and the country, contributing about 23.8% of Portugal's scientific output.

The university is also a fertile ground for innovation, as evidenced by the Science and Technology Park of the U.Porto (UPTEC), which has nurtured over 250 new businesses, creating 2,700 jobs in arts, sciences, and technology sectors. With more than 6,000 international students from nearly 90 nationalities, U.Porto is strongly committed to internationalization, fostering collaboration with institutions worldwide.
