The “Digital Media in Health Communication and Literacy course” was a fully online program intended to bring together learners with very different perspectives, and abilities, to collaboratively create digital media projects capable of communicating complex concepts in scientific research.

Health Communication and Literacy was the main theme, taking into consideration its major in today’s society as a key factor for:

  • a successful use of health services;
  • correctly performing recommended health procedures;
  • being able to comply with therapy or to understand the written and oral information disseminated by health professionals.

Programme

Developed to be an intensive fully online 11-week course, learners were invited to engage in a collaborative setting where they are guided through the process of exploring many different methodologies, with a focus on creating science communication material for both linear and experiential formats.
